Beginners Off-Roading Crash Course w/out the Crashing!!! East Texas Jeep Club Membership is NOT REQUIRED for this event, but Barnwell Mountain Recreational Area park entry fees are required by BMRA as well as the Tx OHV sticker normally available at BMRA most of the time. If you’re looking to get your Jeep off the pavement in a controlled environment where you can learn more about how to operate your Jeep and get some seat time then this is the time to do it as East Texas Jeep Club members will be there to help you navigate the trails. We will arrive, check in at the office, & meet at the pavilion by 9:30. Would like to be starting the first trail by 10am. If you have any questions please reach out to the trail leader David Featherston (Oscar TJ)

Suggested items to bring with you are:

    1) gmrs radio handheld or base mounted
    2) fire extinguisher
    3) first aid kit
    4) drinks & lunch sandwiches or something simple trail side

Convinced the hubs to join me on this adventure so Lucky-Do will be there! Just a quick thought, for those new and getting started, maybe a prep list of suggested items to have/bring might be awesome to add to the post and event. Can't wait to see you all there! Super excited (though hubs is super nervous being my passenger) LOLOLOL!!!!

Thanks for the suggestion, definitely will add that to both. And I plan to have enough of our members that have experience with off road driving to be spread amongst the group so that we can help when needed.
